Below are some of our frequently asked questions. If you can't find the answer here, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Do you make your own
ice cream?
No. All our ice cream is sourced from premium NZ brands. Including Kapiti, NZ Natural, Kilinchy Gold and Little Island.
If you have a particular flavour in mind that you want, let us know!
Do you only serve at Weddings?
Not at all! We cater to all private hire events such as Birthdays, Christmas, Functions, Corprate, and Garden Parties to name a few. We've even scooped for a baby shower!
There are also a number of local events you can find us at. These are great for if you want to try some flavours before hiring. Check out our social media for where we are next!
What is included in the set up?
For our wedding packages you can expect to see the full tricycle with umbrella, barrel, flowers and your personalized menu board.
For our event packages, to keep prices affordable we provide the same set-up minus the wine barrel.
How are quotes Priced?
Every event is unique, and so is every quote. When you enquire with us for a quote, we take into account things like guest count, travel, GST, and how long you want us serving.
Our Wedding Packages are from $400+GST+Travel.
Our Party Package starts from $250+$50 per ice cream tub+GST+Travel.
I have allergies, what can
i eat?
We offer a selection of allergy friendly ice cream and serving options. Including dairy free, gluten free, soy free, egg free and vegan.
Just let us know your requirements and we can offer recommendations.
How do I book?
The best way to contact us is via our website enquiries form or email. If you have any questions, want to discuss options or want to book - send us an email!
Can I personalise the flavour board?
100%! We love when you add your own personality to the sign. We can write whatever you want to say(as long as it fits).
You can also personalise the rest of the setup to match your theme by adding flowers or any other item that's important to you.
Do you need power?
95% of the time, no - we do not require power. Our ice cream tricycles have rechargeable batteries that last on average 8 hours. We will always communicate and discuss options in advance if we think we need a power source.
The great thing about our tricycles is that they can park up (almost) anywhere!
What's the most popular flavour?
For the last 3 years it has been Salted Caramel Fudge, closely followed by White Choc Raspberry.
But I highly recommend trying the Mango Sorbet, Choc Hazelnut Crunch and the Doris Plum & Creme Fraiche... Yum!
Do you have a minimum number of guests
you hire to?
No, we do not require a minimum number of guests. However, we do have a minimum hire charge.
Price per person reduces with more guests.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! We are based is Christchurch, but we're more then happy to travel for your celebrations. Most of the events we attend are Canterbury, but we love to travel further.
Travel fees are additional, and we are always honest with our pricing.
Can we keep the ice cream after?
Yes, you can.
We offer the option for you to keep any part tubs left over after service. If you have the appropriate space to store it we are happy for you to enjoy the rest.
What's the best time for Ice Cream?
That is completely up to you and the schedule of your day. When do you envision your guests enjoying ice cream?
The 2 most popular times are in the afternoon as a time filler (between the ceremony and reception), and in the evening as the dessert option.
What does free flowing
ice cream mean?
Free flowing ice cream means your guests can have as many scoops or ice creams as they want! Within your chosen service time you can expect unlimited ice cream! What more could you ask?
